Hello! I saw your tutorial on this and everything and this is a pretty awesome idea for non-wood props!! I've been trying to see if this can be done without wood, but I know that insulation foam can be very flimsy and can snap easily. But it seems that you have solved that problem with filler and plastidip! I think I heard fiberglass works too maybe? :O But the only thing is that I do not have the tools and materials to make it this way, so I was wondering if you can still take commissions on this? And also can you make Nui's blade instead? I will be cosplaying Nui in the future, so I will be needing the purple scissor. Please let me know as soon as possible! Thank you!

Hi, thank you for this comment as well as the fiberglass suggestion which i havent yet tried. I will be posting another tutorial in a few days on methods to make props without fancy equipment that I think should be able to be used on the scissorblade as well if you wanna look at that and see if it works for you
And sorry but I will not be taking commission work anymore, I got into med school so I just won't have the time to make things and sell them anymore><

Quick question, does the plastidip layers strengthen the handle enough to where excessive movements wont snap the handle off?

ummm..it shouldn't snap off in the first place since its not a disconnected piece but the plastidip does strengthen it a bit more
honestly if treated like a cosplay prop it should be fine, its definitely not a combat ready prop tho
